Welcome Call application
The Welcome Call application calls a new account’s device right after it registers for the first time and plays a message, for example a greeting with the support number. It confirms to the user that the phone works and that it can receive calls.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- A device registers for the first time with an account that has a welcome call set.
- The application finds such accounts every scan interval and calls the registered device.
- When the user answers, it plays the message. The call counts as successful once the user listened for the threshold time, or to the end of a shorter message.
- Failed calls are retried with a growing interval, up to the maximum number of attempts.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”- Open the account and set Welcome Call IVR on the Voicemail tab to System Default. New accounts have None.
- For a custom message, have a prompt created on the switch from your recording; support links it to the accounts.
