IVR Applications

An IVR application is a configured voice service: a calling card, a callback, a balance announcement, a top-up line, a conference or a test tone. On this screen you create the application and set its options; callers reach it through a DID assigned to it. What each type does and which options it takes is described in IVR applications under Modules.

Open DIDs & IVR Apps → IVR Applications in the left sidebar. The URL is /ivr_applications.php. The item is visible when IVR applications are enabled for your customer.

Search by name filters the list. The search matches the whole name unless you add % as a wildcard: %card% finds every name containing card. Delete is missing in the row of an application that an ANI Callback application starts after the callback.

Calling Card and ANI Callback appear only when their modules are installed, Conference only when the conferencing module is installed and conferencing is enabled for your customer.

  1. Click Add New.
  2. Enter Name and, optionally, Description. The name must be unique among your applications.
  3. Select Type under Type & Languages.
  4. Select 1st Language for Calling Card and Top Up and, if callers should choose, 2nd Language up to 10th Language. Each next field opens when the previous one is set; a language can be used once.
  5. Select IVR Application for ANI Callback: the application the caller hears after the callback, for example a calling card.
  6. Click Save. The Advanced Parameters tab appears.
  7. Open DIDs & IVR Apps → DID Pool, open the access number and set Assigned to to the application. See DID pool.

The Advanced Parameters tab lists the options you set for this application, with Name and Value. Options you do not add keep their defaults.

  1. Open the Advanced Parameters tab.
  2. Select an option in the empty row at the bottom. Value is filled with its default.
  3. Enter the value and click Add Row.
  4. Click Edit in a row to change a value, then Save in the row; Delete returns the option to its default.

The list offers the options common to all applications and those of the application’s type. They are described in Options common to all IVR applications and on the page of each type. A change applies from the next call.

Name, Description, the languages and the advanced parameters can be changed at any time. Delete removes the application with its parameters after a confirmation; DIDs assigned to it become Not Assigned.
