Panel branding

The panel carries your brand, not ours. The Branding block of the system parameters sets the logo, the name and the favicon that every user of your environment sees. Reseller Mods goes one step further for a reseller: its own hostname and a stylesheet for the portal its accounts use.

What Menu URL
Branding System Management → System Parameters → Web Interface, Security /system_parameters_ui.php
Reseller Mods My Customers → Resellers → Actions → Reseller Mods /customer_mods.php?i_customer=<id>

Branding needs system management rights. Reseller Mods is in the Actions menu of every reseller in your list.

  4. Choose the new image and click Save.
  5. Do the same under Favicon.
  6. Log out to check the login page.

Changes apply to the whole environment at once: the login page, the admin panel, the reseller panels and the self-care portal of every account.

Reseller Mods has two fields:

Field Meaning
DNS Alias A hostname for the reseller, such as portal.reseller.example. It must be unique across your resellers
CSS Style rules added to the pages, without the <style> tag

The CSS is applied to the login page when it is opened on the DNS Alias, and to the self-care portal of every account of the reseller, whichever address they log in on. The reseller’s own admin panel is not changed.

  1. Ask the reseller to point the hostname to your panel with a DNS record.
  2. Make sure the panel’s certificate covers the hostname. See TLS certificates.
  3. Open Actions → Reseller Mods for the reseller.
  4. Enter DNS Alias and CSS.
  5. Click Save & Close.

The logo and the texts from Branding stay the same for all resellers; style the portal with CSS, for example with a background image, to tell resellers apart.
