Service Codes

Service codes let a user change a service from the phone instead of the portal: dial *72 followed by a number to forward calls, *78 to stop receiving calls, and so on. Each account inherits the codes of its account class and can override them on this screen.

On the Accounts screen open Actions → Services → Service Codes of the account. The URL is /account_service_codes.php?i_account=<id>. You need the edit right on accounts.

Screenshot "admin-panel/account-service-codes" has not been generated yet — see scripts/screenshots/screens.yml.

One field per service. The system default code is shown in the field’s suggestions.

Service System code What dialling it does
Call Forwarding Enable *72 Dial the code followed by a number, for example *72222333. Calls to the account are forwarded to that number
Call Forwarding Disable *73 Stops forwarding
DND Enable *78 Do Not Disturb: incoming calls to the account are rejected
DND Disable *79 Ends Do Not Disturb
Block Anonymous *77 Rejects incoming calls without a caller ID
Unblock Anonymous *87 Accepts anonymous calls again
Block Last Caller *60 Blocks the number of the last call received by the account
Unblock Last Blocked *80 Removes the last blocked number from the block list

Each field takes one of three values:

  • default, shown as Default: use the code of the account class. A new account has every field on Default.
  • disabled: the service cannot be dialled from this account, even if the class has a code for it.
  • One or more codes: * and two digits, several separated by commas, for example *51,*33.

Two services of the same account cannot share a code.

  1. Open Actions → Services → Service Codes of the account.
  2. Enter a code, default or disabled in each field you want to change.
  3. Click Save & Close.

The DND and anonymous-call switches set by the codes are the same as Do Not Disturb and Block Incoming Anonymous on the Advanced tab of the account form. Call Forwarding Enable works through Follow Me: the dialled number replaces the account’s Follow Me numbers.

  1. Set Call Forwarding Enable of a test account to *51 and save.
  2. Register the account on a softphone.
  3. Dial *51 followed by a second number, for example *51222333. The switch confirms the new forwarding number.
  4. Call the test account from another account. The call rings 222333.
  5. Dial the Call Forwarding Disable code to stop the forwarding.
