Play Prompt application
The Play Prompt application plays one recorded IVR prompt and hangs up. Use it for announcements such as “this service has moved” or “our office is closed”, or to test a prompt before using it as a calling card greeting.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- A call is routed to a connection whose CLD Translation Rule rewrites the number to
prompt_<id>. - The application plays the prompt with that id in the caller’s language, or the default recording, and ends the call.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”- Have the prompt created on the switch from an 8 kHz signed linear recording with the
ivr_prompt_utilstool; support or your server administrator can do it and tells you the new prompt id, for example30. - Add a Connection to the vendor that represents your IVR service, with Destination set to the IVR service of the switch.
- Set CLD Translation Rule to
s/.*/prompt_30/. - Add a termination route for the numbers that should hear the announcement and pair it with the connection in the routing group of the callers.
