First login
This page is for the person who received the first admin credentials of a new FlySIP installation. It takes about 20 minutes: 5 minutes to sign in and look around, 15 minutes to set the parameters that are hard or impossible to change later.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You have the panel URL, usually
https://<your-switch-domain>/. - You have the Admin username and the initial password from FlySIP support.
- You know your base currency and your time zone. The base currency cannot be changed after the first call is billed.
Step 1: Sign in
Section titled “Step 1: Sign in”- Open the panel URL in a browser.
- Select the account type Admin. The other types, Account and Vendor, are the self-care portals for your end users and carriers.
- Enter User Name and Password.
- Click Sign In.
If you lost the password, click Forgot your password? below the form. The recovery link is sent to the e-mail address stored for the user, so this only works once the SMTP server is configured (see step 4).
Step 2: Change the initial password
Section titled “Step 2: Change the initial password”When the password policy requires it, the panel shows Change Password right after the first sign-in instead of the dashboard:
- Enter Old Password: the initial password.
- Enter New Password and repeat it in Confirm Password. The policy sets the minimum length and the required characters.
- Click Update.
Password policies live under System Management → System Parameters → Password Policies. The default policy applies to every new user; set Change on First Login and Expires, days there if your security rules require it.
Step 3: Find your way around
Section titled “Step 3: Find your way around”The Dashboard shows today’s traffic and balances. Drag the widgets to reorder them with Edit layout, hide the ones you do not need, and restore the default with Reset layout.
The sidebar on the left groups every screen of the panel:
| Group | What is inside |
|---|---|
| My Customers | Accounts, Resellers (customers), Account Classes, KYC Verification, Permissions, Account Lookup, Callshop |
| Tariffs | Tariffs, Tariff Plans, Currencies, Exchange Rates, My Rates |
| Payments | Payment Processors, Make Payment, Payments History, Sales Reports, Debit/Credit Cards, Top-Up Vouchers, Invoices, Invoice Templates |
| Vendors | Vendors, Registrations, Termination Routes, Routing Groups, DNC List, DNC CLI List |
| Reports | Calls, Statistics, Call Records (CDRs), Summary Reports, Profit & Loss Reports, vendor and DID reports, ASR/ACD Reports, Commissions Reports |
| DIDs & IVR Apps | IVR Applications, DID Pool, Charging Groups |
| System Management | Active Calls, Environments, Destinations, Rules & Lists, Users, Access Levels, SIP Features, SSL Management, System Parameters, Network Services, IP Firewall, Password Policies, Monitoring |
| Tools & Debugs | Test Dialplan, SIP Logs Viewer, result code tables, IP Traffic Dump, Looking Glass, Rerate CDRs, Audit Logs, CSR Generator |
At the bottom of the sidebar you find the Light mode / Dark mode toggle, My Preferences and Logout. Screens with long lists have a filter panel at the top; the panel remembers your last filter per screen.
Step 4: Set what you cannot change later
Section titled “Step 4: Set what you cannot change later”Do this before you create the first vendor or account.
- Open My Preferences at the bottom of the sidebar. Set Base Currency and Time Zone, then click Save. The base currency is fixed once calls are billed; every tariff, vendor and account converts to it through Exchange Rates.
- Open System Management → System Parameters. Set the Data Retention periods for CDRs and logs and the SMTP Server used for invoices, notifications and password recovery. Click Save.
- Open System Management → IP Firewall and allow only the networks that need to reach the panel and the SIP ports. See Firewall and Security management.
- Open System Management → Users and create a personal web user for every staff member with an Access Level that matches their job. Do not share the root login. See Web users and permissions.
- Enable the automatic database backup. See Automatic database backup.
What’s next
Section titled “What’s next”- Quickstart: wholesale: the first vendor, routing group, tariff and account, and a test call.
