Commission models
FlySIP pays a partner for the traffic they bring in one of two ways. A reseller buys from you at your price and sells to its own accounts at its own price; its earnings are the difference. A commission agent sells nothing itself; it receives a percentage of the revenue of the accounts or customers assigned to it. Both are configured on the customer and account forms and reported per period.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”| Reseller (rate-based) | Commission agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the end accounts | The reseller, inside its own customer | You, under the root customer |
| Who sets the end prices | The reseller, with its own tariffs | You |
| How the partner earns | Its sell price minus your price, on every call | A percentage of the revenue of the assigned accounts |
| Price layers | Vendor price → your price → reseller’s price | Vendor price → your price |
| Partner’s panel | Full reseller portal: accounts, tariffs, reports, limited by Permissions | A reseller panel of its own; Commissions Reports show the earnings |
| Configured on | My Customers → Resellers: the reseller’s Tariff and Max. Resellers Depth | Commission Agent and Commission Size on the account or customer |
Reseller. A customer created under you gets a Tariff: your price to it. In its own portal the reseller creates accounts, gives them its own tariff plans and collects their payments. On each call the switch bills the account at the reseller’s price and the reseller at yours, and writes a CDR for each. The reseller can recruit sub-resellers up to its Max. Resellers Depth. See Customers.
Commission agent. One of your direct resellers, in the same currency, is selected as Commission Agent on the Commission tab of a customer or the Advanced tab of an account, with a Commission Size, %. Accounts cannot be agents. Your tariff already contains both your margin and the commission. After every billed call of the assigned entity, the switch credits the agent’s balance with the commission share and writes a commission CDR on the agent. See Commission agent setup.

Common scenarios
Section titled “Common scenarios”A partner wants to run their own brand
Section titled “A partner wants to run their own brand”Use a reseller. Give it a DNS Alias and CSS under Reseller Mods so that its customers see the partner’s brand, grant only the screens it needs in Permissions, and keep vendors and routing under your control. Its reports cover only its own customers.
An account manager brings customers you serve directly
Section titled “An account manager brings customers you serve directly”Use a commission agent. Create the manager as a reseller directly under you, select it as Commission Agent on each customer or account they brought and set the percentage. The manager sees the earnings in Reports → Commissions Reports and the money on its balance, which you can pay out with a Manual Charge.
Separating retail from wholesale
Section titled “Separating retail from wholesale”The reseller layer also works for your own lines of business: a reseller customer per business keeps its accounts, tariffs and reports apart, while vendors and routing stay shared. For full separation including vendors use virtual environments.
